Activities for teenagers
The Parasol Project Teen Service supports disabled and non disabled young people aged 13 – 19 years old in term time and throughout the holidays. We offer one of the most exciting holiday provision programmes for young people in the city.
We run holiday activity days, residentials, a term time youth group and a Saturday dance group.
We operate on a young person to staff ratio of 6:1 with a portion of the staff team allocated to support those with specific needs. All our playworkers go through enhanced DBS checks and attend training in first aid, lifting and handling, Generalist Safeguarding and disability equality training.
Our activities focus on inclusion, having fun and gaining new experiences. Some of our activities include: art projects, cinema and bowling trips, canoeing & kayaking, tobogganing, lazer tag in 50 acres of woodland, cooking sessions, meals out, theatre trips, scavenger hunts, dance and drama projects, film making, bushcraft and residentials.
One of the magical and unique things about The Parasol Project is its emphasis on inclusiveness. We champion equality and have created a unique ethos and culture that is present in all of our work.
We take registrations for our teenage service all year round. If you have a young person who you would like to register please head to our contact page and get in touch.
We’d love to hear from you!
